This paper deals with uniformly elliptic second-order systems with bounded coefficients. A set \(S\subset\Omega\subset \mathbb{R}^n\) is called invariant for a system if any bounded classical solution \(u\in C(\overline\Omega)\) of the system is such that \(u|_{\partial\Omega}\subset S\Rightarrow u\subset S\). By definition the closure \(\sigma\) of any convex proper subdomain of \(\mathbb{R}^n\) is called a convex body. At first, the authors prove sufficient conditions for the invariance of convex bodies for linear systems without \(O\)-order term on bounded domains, and for quasilinear systems of special form on bounded and certain unbounded domains. These conditions give a link between the geometry of \(\sigma\) and the coefficients of the system. Necessary and sufficient conditions for the invariance of some convex bodies are proved for elliptic homogeneous systems with constant coefficients in \(\mathbb{R}^n_+\) (Theorems 3 and 4). In Section 5 a criterion for the invariance of convex bodies for normalized matrix-valued integral transforms is found. It enables the authors to prove the necessity of the conditions in Theorem 3 and 4.
