This article deals with quasiprimitivity. A group is quasiprimitive if all its nontrivial normal subgroups are transitive. The author describes some of the properties obtained by finite primitive and quasiprimitive groups. Some properties of these groups such as cardinality, classification, etc. are studied. In the last sections, some applications of finite quasiprimitive groups are given.
