For complex smooth projective curves \(X\) of genus \(g(X)\geq 1\), the author of the reviewed paper studies some properties and relations between the moduli space \(\mathcal{M}_X(d,r)\) of stable bundles of rank \(r\) and degree \(d\), and the moduli space \(\mathcal{M}_{X^{(n)}}\) of \(H-\)slope stable bundles on the symmetric product quotient \(X^{(n)}\colon= X^n/\mathfrak{S}_n\). In particular, by calculating the spectral sequences of extension groups, the author shows that if \(E\) is a non-trivial stable vector bundle on \(X\), the tautological bundle \(E^{[n]}\) is also stable, and the natural map \[ \operatorname{Ext}^1(E,E)\to \operatorname{Ext}^1(E^{[n]},E^{[n]}) \] is injective for all \(n\in \mathbb{N}\). Another main results of the presented paper are: \begin{itemize} \item[A)] (Theo. 1.2). If \(d\notin[-r,(n-1)r]\) and \(\operatorname{gcd}(d,r)=1\). Then the morphism \[ \psi\colon \mathcal{M}_X(d,r)\to \mathcal{M}_{X^{(n)}}, \] given by \(\psi([E])=[E^{[n]}]\) is a closed embedding. \item [B)] (Theorem 1.4). If the genus of \(X\) is at least \(3\), i.e., \(g(X)\geq 3\), and the slope of \(E\) satisfies that \(|\mu(E)|>>0\), then \([E^{[n]}]\) is a singular point of \(\mathcal{M}_{X^{(n)}}\) for all \(n\in \mathbb{N}\), except (possibly) if \(n=2\), and \(g(X)=3\). \end{itemize}
