Let \(A\) be a finite dimensional connected wild hereditary algebra and \(_ AT\) be a tilting module with endomorphism algebra \(B\). Since the torsion theory induced by \(T\) on the category \(B\)-mod of finitely generated \(B\)-modules splits, the study of \(B\)-mod can be reduced to the study of the torsion-free class, then the torsion class, then the study of morphisms from the first to the second. This paper is really concerned with the first step, thus the author restricts his attention to the torsion-free class \({\mathcal Y}(t)=\{_ BY\mid Tor^ B_ 1(T,Y)=0\}\). By his former results [J. Lond. Math. Soc., II. Ser. 39, 29-47 (1989; Zbl 0675.16013)], one may assume that \(T\) has no preinjective direct summands. Then \(T=T_ p\oplus T_ 1\), where \(\hbox{Hom}_ A(T,T_ p)\) is a preprojective \(B\)-module, while \(\hbox{Hom}_ A(T,T_ 1)\) has no preprojective direct summand. By the results of \textit{H. Strauss} [J. Algebra 144, 43-66 (1991)], \(C=\hbox{End} T_ p\) is a wild concealed connected algebra and the preprojective component of the Auslander-Reiten quiver \(\Gamma(C)\) of \(C\) equals that of \(\Gamma(B)\). The main result states that if \({\mathcal C}\) is a component in \({\mathcal Y}(t)\) distinct from the connecting component, then there exists an indecomposable module \(Z\in{\mathcal C}\) such that the full subquiver of \({\mathcal C}\) of all successors of \(Z\) consists of \(C\)-modules. As an application, the author shows that one can use \(T\) to define a bijection between the regular components of \(\Gamma(A)\) and those of \(\Gamma(C)\). Further, if \(A\) and \(B\) are wild hereditary path algebras of some quivers, then there exists a bijection between the regular components of \(\Gamma(A)\) and \(\Gamma(B)\).
