This paper deals with a particular class of block boundary value methods, namely the generalized Adams methods (GAMs) which are implemented in a code for the solution of stiff initial value problems. An experimental variable step variable order code that can be realized using the \(A\)-stable high-order block-GAMs is described. The authors report some numerical tests to show the effectiveness of the code.
