Let \(X\) be a (metrizable) continuum, and let \(C(X)\) denote the subspace of the hyperspace \(2^X\) of \(X\) of all continua. It is known that the uniformly pathwise connected continua are precisely the continuous images of the cone over the Cantor set. In this paper, the author proves that for a continuum \(X\) the property of being uniformly pathwise connected is a Whitney property. Interestingly, it is not a Whitney-reversible property. For this, the author uses a continuum \(X\) which is connected by uniformly short paths but not uniformly pathwise connected.
