    A minimally supported frequency (MSF) wavelet \(\psi\) in \(L^2(\mathbb{R})\) (or \(H^2(\mathbb{R})\)) is a function in \(L^2(\mathbb{R})\) such that \(| \hat \psi| =\chi_K\) for some Lebesgue measurable set \(K\) satisfying that \(\{ \psi_{j,k} : j,k \in\mathbb{Z}\}\) is an orthonormal basis of \(L^2(\mathbb{R})\) (or \(H^2(\mathbb{R})\)), where \(\psi_{j,k}(x)=2^{j/2}\psi(2^j\cdot-k)\). Such measurable sets \(K\) are called wavelet sets in the literature. In this paper, the authors propose a method to construct large classes of MSF wavelets in the space \(H^2(\mathbb{R})\) and symmetric MSF wavelets in \(L^2(\mathbb{R})\). Many new MSF wavelets in \(H^2(\mathbb{R})\) and \(L^2(\mathbb{R})\) have been obtained. The measurable sets \(K\) for the MSF wavelets in this paper consist of a collection of intervals. The authors also consider wavelet sets with some extra properties, for example, the set \(K\) has an accumulating point at the origin, and the endpoints of the intervals in \(K\) are not of the type \(\frac{p}{2^q-1}, p, q\in \mathbb{Z}\).
