In order to achieve a mathematically strict formulation of the response of materials in the plastic domain, when elastic and plastic deformations are large and non-isothermal processes are included, the authors had to assume that material elements do not conduct heat, i.e. any heat is only communicated to material elements by direct radiation from the outside. Apart from this constraint, the paper represents a very complete description of material behaviour.
