    For discrete-time systems, the output controller design technique is formulated as a convex quadratic programming problem. The proposed procedure takes into consideration a stable polytope in the closed-loop characteristic polynomial coefficients space. Starting from the unit hypercube of reflection coefficients of monic polynomials, a procedure for generating stable polytope is given. Stability region and robust modal control are discussed, too.
