The present paper is a continuation of the authors' previous work on real reductive dual pairs in [Parts I and II, Trans. Am. Math. Soc. 350, No. 12, 5017--5046 (1998; Zbl 0901.22008); Isr. J. Math. 100, 29--59 (1997; Zbl 0890.22008)] and \textit{C. B. Zhu} [Duke Math. J. 65, 85--119 (1992; Zbl 0764.22009)]. Let \(G'\) be one of the following complex classical groups: \(O (m, C),\) \(Gl(m, C),\) \(Sp(2m, C)\), let \(V\) be given by \(C^m\), \(C^m \oplus (C^m)^*\), \(C^{2m}\), respectively, and denote by \(\chi\) the direct sum \(V^n\) of \(n\) copies of \(V\). On the space \(W = \chi \oplus \chi\) there is a real symplectic form such that \(\chi\) is a maximally totally isotropic subspace of \(W\). In this way, \(G'\) is a member of a reductive dual pair \((G', G) \subset Sp(W)\). Thus for the previous list of complex classical groups one has the following reductive complex dual pairs: \((O (m, C), Sp(2n, C)) \subset Sp (4mn, R),\) \( (GL(m, C), GL (2n, C)) \subset Sp(8mn, R, (Sp(2m, C), O(4n, C)) \subset Sp(16 mn, R)\). Let \(S(\chi)\) be the Schwartz space of rapidly decreasing functions on \(\chi\), \(S(\chi)_{G'}\) the space of \(G'\)-coinvariant and \(S^* (\chi)^{G'}\) the space of \(G'\)-invariant distributions on \(\chi\). In this paper the authors study the spaces \(S(\chi)_{G'}\) and \(S^* (\chi)^{G'}\) as \(G\)-representations. More precisely, they determine the relationship between the space \(S(\chi)_{G'}\) and certain degenerate principal series representations of \(G\) and they prove that \(S^* (\chi)^{G'}\) is generated by the Dirac distribution as a \(G\)-representation.
