The aim of the authors is to investigate the existence and uniqueness of Lipschitz solutions of the series-like iterative equation \(\sum_{n=1}^{\infty} a_nf^n(x)=F(x)\), \(x \in \mathbb B\), with a general boundary restriction, where \(F:\mathbb B \to \mathbb A\) is a given Lipschitz function, and \(\mathbb B, \mathbb A\) are compact convex subsets of \(\mathbb R^N\) with nonempty interior. In order to do this they prove, under suitable conditions, the existence and uniqueness of Lipschitz solutions of the equation \(\mathcal P(f)\circ f=F\). The proof is based on the Schauder fixed point theorem and the Banach contraction principle. The last sections of the paper contain examples of the use of the previous result.
