The authors consider a linear equation \[ v'=A(t)v,\tag{1} \] where \(A:\mathbb{R}^+\to{\mathfrak B}(X)\) is a continuous function into \({\mathfrak B} (X)\) -- the space of bounded linear operators in a Banach space \(X\). We say that equation (1) admits a \(\rho\)-nonuniform exponential contraction in \(\mathbb{R}^+\) if for some constants \(\lambda\), \(D>0\) and \(a\geq 0\) \[ \|T(t,s)\|\leq D^{-\lambda(\rho(t)-\rho(s))+a\rho (s)},\quad t\geq s\geq 0 \] is valid, where \(\rho:\mathbb{R}_0^+\to\mathbb{R}^+_0\) and \(\rho(0)=0\), and \(T(t,s)\) is the evolution operator of (1). The author coulds the equation (1) admits a \(\rho\)-nonuniform exponential dichotomy in \(\mathbb{R}\) if there exist projections \(P(t):X\to X\) for each \(t\in \mathbb{R}\) satisfying \[ T(t,s)P(s)=P(t)T(t,s),\;t\geq s \] and there exist constants \(\lambda,D>0\) and \(a\geq 0\) such that \[ \|T(t,s)P s)\|\leq De^{-\lambda(\rho(t)-\rho(s))+a|\rho(s)|},\;t\geq s \] and \[ \|T(t,s)Q(s)\|\leq De^{-\lambda(\rho(s)-\rho(t))+a|\rho(s)|},\;s\geq t, \] where \(Q(t)=I-P(t)\), \(I=id\). The authors find some conditions for the robustness of the \(\rho\)-nonuniform exponential contration and for the dichotomy of the perturbed equation \[ v'(t)=(A(t)+B(t))v. \]
