The authors study a class of \(2\)-dimensional hyperbolic simplicial complexes \(X\) that are obtained by gluing finitely many hyperbolic triangles with two ideal vertices along edges. The universal cover \(\widetilde{X}\) of \(X\) is a \(\text{CAT}(-1)\) space and \(G=\pi_1 (X)\) acts on \(\widetilde{X}\) as a discrete group of isometries. It is shown that the limit set of \(G\) is the whole visual boundary \(\partial \widetilde{X}\) of \(\widetilde{X}\) and that \(\partial \widetilde{X}\) is path-connected and locally path-connected. The authors consider also spaces \(Y\) obtained by gluing finitely many hyperbolic ideal triangles along edges so that each edge is incident to 3 triangles. They show that the visual boundary \(\partial \widetilde{Y}\) of \(\widetilde{Y}\) is a kind of Sierpiński set, obtained from a closed disk in the plane by successively removing canonically defined open sets.
