The author stresses that there are consistent theories of dynamical systems that successfully model observed phenomena, and the phenomena are so complex that their description and prediction within the theory require a continuous space of pure states. As an example, the author considers typical Hamiltonian systems. However, Hardy's axiomatization program (based on countable pure state space assumption) does not deal with such theories.
