    A positive continuous function \(\mu\) on \([0,1)\) is called normal if there are constants \(\delta\), \(a\), \(b\) with \(0\leq\delta< 1\) and \(0< a< b\) such that \((1-r)^{-a}\mu(r)\) is decreasing on \([\delta,1)\) and \(\lim_{r\to 1}(1- r)^{-a}\mu(r)= 0\), and \((1- r)^{-b}\mu(r)\) is increasing on \([\delta,1)\) and \(\lim_{r\to 1}(1- r)^{-b}\mu= \infty\). Let \(H^\infty_\mu\) be the class of functions \(f\) analytic in \(\mathbb{D}= \{|z|< 1\}\) such that \[ \| f\|_{H^\infty_\mu}= \sup_{z\in\mathbb{D}}\,\mu(|z|)|f(z)|< \infty. \] The authors show that, if \(f(z)= \sum^\infty_{n=0} a_n z^n\in H^\infty_\mu\), then \[ \limsup_{n\to\infty}\,|a_n|\mu(1-{1\over n})< \infty; \] and that, if \(f(z)= \sum^\infty_{k=0} a_k z^{n_k}\) is analytic in \(\mathbb{D}\) with \(n_{k+1}/n_k\geq\lambda> 1\) and \(\mu\) is normal on \([0,1)\), then \(f\in H^\infty_\mu\) if and only if \[ \sup_{k\geq 0}\,\mu\bigg(1-{1\over n_k}\bigg)|a_k|< \infty. \] This extends earlier work of \textit{S. Yamashita} [Yokohama Math. J. 28, 31--36 (1980; Zbl 0467.30001)] on Bloch spaces. They also extend this work to the subclass of functions \(f\) in \(H^\infty_\mu\) for which \(\lim_{|z|\to 1^-}\,\mu(|z|)|f(z)|= 0\).
