The authors study bi-lipschitz maps with respect to a Euclid-Cygan metric \(D_M\) on the boundary of a negatively curved space \(G_M = \mathbb R \ltimes_M \mathbb R^n\), where \(\mathbb R\) acts on \(\mathbb R^n\) by a one parameter subgroup \(M^t \subseteq GL(n,\mathbb R)\) such that \(M\) is a matrix whose eigenvalues all have norm greater than one. They call the space of all these maps Bilip\(_{D_M}\) and study its structure. With respect to a certain (partially) ordered basis \(B\) all Bilip\(_{D_M}\) maps have an upper triangular form. Next, the authors consider groups of uniform maps QSim\(_{D_M}\), maps which are compositions of homotheties (Sim\(_{D_M}\) maps) and Bilip\(_{D_M}\) maps, all with a uniform bi-Lipschitz constant. Under certain conditions it is possible to conjugate such a group into the group of almost homotheties (ASim\(_{D_M}\) maps). Finally, the authors characterize \(\Gamma\), a finitely generated group quasi-isometric to \(\mathbb R \ltimes_M \mathbb R^n\) where \(M\) is a matrix with det \(M\) = 1 and whose eigenvalues all lie off of the unit circle.
