In this work, the author shows that a finite torsion-free associative conformal algebra admits a finite faithful conformal representation. This implies in particular the possibility of joining a conformal identity to such algebras. It is further shown that the latter possibility is not given in the case of torsion-free associative conformal algebras. The analogue of Ado's theorem for torsion-free finite Lie conformal algebras is considered. The interesting conclusion is that in this case, the conformal version of the Poincaré-Birkhoff-Witt theorem leads automatically to the Ado theorem. The paper finishes with the analysis of faithful representations for the torsion-free solvable case.
