The goal of this paper is to study certain singular foliatons on the solid torus. Let \({\mathcal F}\) be a foliation of an \(m\)-manifold \(M\), \(L\in{\mathcal F}\), \(d=\dim{\mathcal F}\). If \(\dim L< d\), \(L\) is called a singular leaf and \(\text{Sing}({\mathcal F})= \{p\in L\), \(L\) is singular\} the singular set of \({\mathcal F}\). Consider foliations on the solid torus \(S^1\times D^2\) which have \(L_1= S^1\times\{0\}\) and \(L_2= S^1\times\partial D^2\) as the only compact leaves and \(S^1\times\{0\}\) as singular set. Let \(\mathcal A\) denote the family of all such foliations on \(S^1\times D^2\). The authors give some interesting results in this setting. They prove the following Theorem: ``Let \({\mathcal F}\in{\mathcal A}\) and \(L\) be a non-compact leaf of \({\mathcal F}\). Then the inclusion \(L\subset S^1\times(D^2-\{0\})\) induces an injection on the fundamental groups and, consequently, \(L\) is diffeomorphic to \(\mathbb{R}^2\) or \(S^1\times \mathbb{R}\).'' Some examples are presented in this paper.
