Let \(p>1\) and let \(\Omega\) be a bounded smooth domain in \(\mathbb{R}^n\), with \(n\geq 3\). The author considers the equation \(-\Delta u+|u|^{p-1}u\) in \(\Omega\) and studies the Hausdorff dimension of the singular set of stationary solutions. A stationary solution to the above equation is a \(H^1\)-weak solution \(u\in H^1\cap L^{p+1}(\Omega)\) satisfying the equation \[ \frac{1}{2}\int_\Omega |\nabla u|^2\frac{\partial \phi^i}{\partial x^i}-\frac{1}{p+1}\int_\Omega |u|^{p+1}\frac{\partial \phi^i}{\partial x^i}=\int_\Omega \frac{\partial u}{\partial x^i}\frac{\partial u}{\partial x^j}\frac{\partial \phi^j}{\partial x^i}, \] for all \(\phi\in\mathrm{Lip}(\Omega, \mathbb{R}^n)\) with compact support in \(\Omega\). The author proves that if \(n-\frac{2(p+1)}{p-1}\in (m,m+1)\) for some integer \(m\in [0,n-3]\), then the Hausdorff dimension of the singular set of any stationary solution is at most \(m\). Moreover, the author exhibits an example to show that the upper bound \(m\) is sharp. The proof is based on the dimension reduction argument.
