The authors study the algebras generated by Toeplitz operators acting on the weighted harmonic Bergman space over the upper half-plane. Two classes of generating symbols are considered: \(L_{\infty}\)-symbols that depend only on the imaginary part \(y\) of \(z=x+iy\), and \(L_{\infty}\)-symbols that depend only on the polar angle \(\theta\) of \(z =|z|e^{i\theta}\) and have limit values at the endpoints \(\theta=0\) and \(\theta = \pi\) of the interval \([0,\pi]\). The main result of the paper states: {\parindent=0,5cm\begin{itemize}\item[1)] The \(C^*\)-algebra generated by Toeplitz operators with the first kind of symbols is commutative, and is isomorphic and isometric to the algebra of all functions on \(\mathbb{R}_+\) that are uniformly continuous with respect to the logarithmic metric \(\rho(x_1,x_2) = | \ln x_1 -\ln x_2|\). \item[2)] The \(C^*\)-algebra generated by Toeplitz operators with the second kind of symbols in not commutative, and is isomorphic and isometric to the algebra of all \(2\times2\) matrix-valued functions \(f_{ij}(t)\) continuous on \([-\infty, +\infty]\) and satisfying the condition \(f_{12}(\pm\infty) = f_{21}(\pm\infty) = 0\) and \(f_{11}(\pm\infty) = f_{22}(\mp\infty)\). \end{itemize}}
