The non-symmetric Koornwinder polynomials are multivariable extensions of the non-symmetric Askey-Wilson polynomials, which occur in the harmonic analysis in quantum symmetric spaces, representation theory of affine Hecke algebras and in quantum relativistic integrable one-dimensional many-body systems of Calogero-Moser type. A representation theoretic framework for the five parameter family of Koornwinder has been provided by \textit{G. Letzter} [Adv. Math. 189, No. 1, 88--147 (2004; Zbl 1127.17018)]. In this paper, one examines how the solutions of the reflection quantum QZ equations in terms of non-symmetric basic hypergeometric functions, and non-symmetric Koornwinder polynomials are related to other constructions of explicit solutions. This approach works via representation theory, integrable models, and solutions of reflection quantum QZ equations.
