The authors define a triangulated endofunctor \(\mathrm{host}: SH(\mathbb{C}) \to SH(\mathbb{C})\) related to the Friedlander-Walker semitopologization construction. Using this they prove that certain ``semitopological cohomology theories'', notably Friedlander-Lawson morphic cohomology, are representable in the motivic stable homotopy category. They study (Friedlander-Walker) semitopological \(K\)-theory and semitopological cobordism (the semitopologicalization of algebraic cobordism) and show that these theories are related in ways similar to their non-semitopological analogues.
