Let \(\sigma\) denote the Hilbert tensor norm. In the case of the tensor product of two Hilbert spaces \(E\) and \(F\), the space \(E \hat{\otimes}_{\sigma} F\) has a natural realization as the space \(S_2(E',F)\) of Hilbert-Schmidt operators from \(E'\) into \(F\). Let \(E= \mathrm{ind}_n E_n\) and \(F= \mathrm{ind}_n F_n\) be two separated inductive limits of Hilbert spaces. It is proved that \(E \hat{\otimes}_{\sigma} F\) coincides algebraically and topologically with \(\mathrm{ind}_n (E_n \hat{\otimes}_{\sigma} F_n)\). This result is applied to obtain a consequence about the localization of bounded sets in the Hilbert tensor product of two hilbertisable Fréchet spaces, and to concrete representations of the tensor products of certain non-Schwartz hilbertisable Fréchet spaces.
