Hypersingular integrals, defined as finite part of divergent integrals by Hadamard, generalize singular integrals in the sense of the main Cauchy value and they are used both in theoretic problems and in applications, as mechanics, electrodynamics, aerodynamics, acoustics, \dots In this paper, conditions to calculate hypersingular integrals of kind \[ \int_{-1}^1 \frac{\varphi(\tau)}{(\tau-t)^p}\text{d}\tau,\;\;p=2,3,\dots,\,\;-1<t<1 \] in an analytic form are first given. Then, since it is not always possible to obtain such a form in all cases, the authors show some methods to approximate the value of the integral. A first idea is to generate a quadrature formula by approximating \(\varphi\) by its interpolation polynomial on either equidistant nodes or nodes of Chebyshev polynomials of the first kind. An error bound is also given. In order to obtain a uniform error with \(-1<t<1\) a new quadrature formula involving also the Hermite polynomial of \(\varphi\) is presented. Then the investigation is carried out in two dimensions on a rectangular domain \(\Omega\). Here two algorithms define cubature formulas to evaluate \[ \int_\Omega \frac{\varphi(\tau_1,\tau_2)}{\gamma(\tau_1,\tau_2)}\text{d}\tau_1\text{d}\tau_2, \] where \(\gamma(\tau_1,\tau_2)=0\) has zeros in \(\Omega\) up to the \(p\)th order. Such algorithms involve the bivariate interpolating polynomial of \(\varphi\). A bound for the approximation errors is also provided. In case of more complex domains, it is necessary to decompose them into a finite number of subdomains where it is possible to use the proposed cubatures.
