Numerical methods of computation of singular and hypersingular integrals (Q1599779)

This is a survey on quadrature formulas \(Q_N\) for computing singular and hypersingular integrals, being optimal with respect to \(\inf_{Q_N} \sup_{\phi\in\Psi}|R_N(\phi)|\), where \(R_N\) is the corresponding remainder functional and \(\Psi\) are classes of Hölder continuous or differentiable functions. Several explicit formulas and best constants are given for bounded and unbounded domains and for the 1-D and 2-D cases.
