The authors prove local smoothing and weighted Strichartz estimates for the Dirac equation with a Aharonov-Bohm potential. Their proof is inspired by \textit{F. Cacciafesta} and \textit{É. Séré} [J. Funct. Anal. 271, No. 8, 2339--2358 (2016; Zbl 1349.35316)] and relies on an explicit representation of the solution in terms of spectral projections. In more detail, the authors consider the Dirac Hamiltonian in the Aharonov-Bohm magnetic field, which is given by \[ \mathcal{D}_A^m(A)=\sigma_3m+\sigma_1(p_1+A^1)+\sigma_2(p_2+A^2), \] where \(m\geq 0\), \(p_j=i\partial_j\), the \(\sigma_j\)'s denote the standard Pauli matrices and the magnetic potential \(A(x)=(A^1(x),A^2(x))\) is given by \[ A(x)=\alpha\left(-\frac{x_2}{|x|^2},\frac{x_1}{|x|^2}\right). \] Restricting themselves to the massless case (\(m=0\)) and denoting the corresponding Hamiltonian by \(\mathcal{D}_A\), the authors study dispersive properties of the flow associated to \(\mathcal{D}_A\). That is, they study the Cauchy problem \[ i\partial_t u =\mathcal{D}_A u, \;\;\;\;u(0,x)=f(x), \] where \(u(t,x):\mathbb{R}_t\times\mathbb{R}_x^2\rightarrow\mathbb{C}^2\). The first main result of the paper is a local smoothing estimate for solutions of this problem. The second main result is a local in time estimate, which in the context of the wave equation is known as KSS estimate. As a consequence of these two results, the authors are able to prove weighted Strichartz estimates.
