The authors extend known embeddings of weighted Sobolev spaces in weighted \(L^p\) spaces, where the weights are allowed to degenerate or to be singular at a single (common) point, to the case of multiple such points. Such results are useful in the variational treatment of equations of the form \[ \displaystyle -\operatorname{div} (a(x) \nabla u) =b(x) f(x,u) \text{ in } \Omega, \;\;\;u = 0 \text{ on } \partial \Omega. \] In the present paper the weights \(a\) and \(b\) are allowed to have zeros or singularities in a controlled manner at finitely many points in the interior of \(\Omega\). Conditions for continuous and for compact embeddings are given, both in the case of bounded and in the case of unbounded domains \(\Omega\).
