Given \(p\in (0,\infty)\) and a Young function \(\Psi\) (i.e., a convex, increasing, continuous function \(\Psi : [0,\infty)\mapsto [0,\infty)\) such that \( \Psi(0)=0\) and \(\lim_{t\rightarrow \infty} \Psi(t)/t=\infty\)), we say that \(\Psi\) satisfies the \(B_p\) condition (notation \(\Psi\in B_p\)) if \[ \int_1^\infty \frac{\Psi(t)}{t^p}\, \frac{dt}{t} <\infty. \] If \(w\) is a weight (i.e., a non-negative and locally integrable function) and \(\Psi\) is a~Young function, we write \(w\in RH_\Psi\) provided that \[ \sup_Q \Big(\frac {1}{|Q|}\int_Q w \,dt\Big)^{-1} \|w\|_{\Psi,Q} <\infty, \] where the supremum is taken over all cubes \(Q\) with sides parallel to the coordinate axes, and where \(\|w\|_{\Psi,Q}\) is the localized Orlicz norm of \(w\) defined by \[ \|w\|_{\Psi,Q}=\inf \Big\{\lambda>0: \frac {1}{|Q|}\int_Q \Psi\Big(\frac{w(x)}{\lambda}\Big)\, dx \leq 1\Big\}. \] Moreover, given a weight \(w\), we write \(w\in RH_\infty\) if \[ [w]_{RH_\infty}= \sup_Q \Big(\frac {1}{|Q|}\int_Q w \,dx\Big)^{-1}(\roman {ess}\sup_{x\in Q} w(x))<\infty . \] In what follows we denote by \(\mathcal {F}\) a family of pairs \((f,g)\) of non-negative , measurable functions that are not identically 0. The next extrapolation theorem is one of the main results of the paper (the others are its modifications). Theorem. Let \(0<p_0<q_0.\) Assume that, for a fixed \(\Psi_0 \in B_{(\frac{q_0}{p_0})'}\) and all \(w\in RH_{\Psi_0},\) \[ \|f\|_{L^{p_0}(w)} \lesssim\|g\|_{L^{p_0}(w)}, \quad (f,g)\in \mathcal F. \] If \(p_0=q_0\), suppose that the above estimate holds for any \(w\in RH_\infty.\) Let one of the following conditions be satisfied: (a) \(p_0<p<q_0\) and \(w\in RH_\Psi\), where \(\Psi\) is given by \(\Psi(t^r)=\Psi_0(t)\) with \(r=\frac{(q_0/p_0)'}{(q_0/p)'}<1\); (b) \(p=q_0\) and \(w\in RH_\infty\). Then \[ \|f\|_{L^{p}(w)} \lesssim\|g\|_{L^{p}(w)}, \quad (f,g)\in \mathcal F. \] Extrapolation theorems are applied to prove weighted norm inequalities involving Calderón-Zygmund operators and fractional integral operators.
