For the constant in the discrete Fourier restriction inequality, where the \(N\)-th exponential sums are taken rather than integrals in the ``standard'' versions, its growth in \(N\) is studied. The inequality in question is a periodic Strichartz inequality associated with the KdV equation. It is also proved that the obtained estimate is sharp up to a factor \(N^\varepsilon\).
