    Summary: Let \(\Omega\) be a bounded domain in a real Euclidean space. We consider the equation \(\partial u(t, x) / \partial t = C(x) u(t, x) + \int_{\Omega} K(x, s) u(t, s) d s + [F(u)](t, x)\) (\(t > 0\); \(x \in \Omega\)), where \(C(\cdot)\) and \(K(\cdot, \cdot)\) are matrix-valued functions and \(F(\cdot)\) is a nonlinear mapping. Conditions for the exponential stability of the steady state are established. Our approach is based on a norm estimate for operator commutators.
