The author investigates the graphs of continuous functions on the unit interval which are attractors of iterated function systems consisting of \(r \geq 2\) affine maps on \(\mathbb{R}^2\). Such functions satisfy the self-referential equation \[ \phi(a_k x + b_k) = c_k x + d_k \phi (x) + e_k, \quad k = 1, \ldots, r;\;\; x\in [0,1]. \] Here, \(a_k, b_k, c_k, d_k\), and \(e_k\) are real numbers. It is proved that the multifractal spectrum of \(\phi\) is given by the multifractal formalism provided that \(|d_k| > |a_k|\) for at least one \(k\). In the special case when \(a_k > 0\), for all \(k\), an exact expression for the pointwise Hölder exponent of \(\phi\) at any point \(x\in [0,1]\) is derived.
