In this paper, the author firstly introduces a new notion of linking which allows to see minima as minimax points associated to a limit case of linking, and consequently, to treat extrema and minimax points as one, in a uniform way. Then, the author is interested to obtain the existence of critical points for functionals defined on a cartesian product and gives its localization on components. He does it in a conical annulus which yields multiplicity results for critical points located in distinct conical annuli. The variational properties of the components can differ, part of them being of minimum type, others of montain pass type.
