Let \(G\) be a finite group and let \(\Omega (G)\) be the Burnside ring of \(G\), i.e. the Grothendieck ring of the finite \(G\)-sets [\textit{A. Dress}, Aarhus Publ. Ser. 17, 47-52 (1970; Zbl 0251.20005)]. Let \(\mathcal A\) be the class of finite abelian and finite Hamiltonian groups. It is proved that if \(G\) and \(H\) are groups in \(\mathcal A\), then their Burnside rings \(\Omega(G)\) and \(\Omega(H)\) are isomorphic as rings if and only if \(G\) and \(H\) are isomorphic.
