Given a topological property \(\mathcal P\), a fuzzy topological space \((X,\tau)\) is called strong-\(\mathcal P\) if for each \(\alpha\in[0,1)\) the topological space \((X,\iota_ \alpha\tau)\), where \(\iota_ \alpha\tau=\{U^{-1}(\alpha,1]: U\in\tau\}\), satisfies the property \(\mathcal P\). The authors study different strong topological properties of fuzzy topological spaces. The main attention is paid to strong separation axioms, strong countability axioms and strong separability. These properties are compared with other analogous properties of fuzzy topological spaces. Many illustrating examples are given. (The concept of strong compactness introduced by \textit{R. Lowen} [J. Math. Anal. Appl. 64, 446-454 (1978; Zbl 0381.54004)] could be, probably, considered as the ``germ'' for the subjects studied in this paper; cf. also \textit{S. Rodabaugh's} paper on Hausdorff separation axioms [Topology Appl. 11, 319-334 (1980; Zbl 0484.54008)] and a recent paper by \textit{M. Ghanim} and \textit{N. Morsi} [Simon Stevin 63, No. 3, 193-208 (1989; Zbl 0708.54004)]).
