This paper concerns a reinterpretation of geometrical structures from main the physical theories as momentum sections. More precisely, a constrained Hamiltonian mechanical system with a Lie algebroid structure and a two-dimensional gauged sigma theory with a 2-form \(B\)-field and one-dimensional boundary are carefully analyzed. These physical examples inspire a proper definition of a momentum section on a pre-multisymplectic manifold.
