An \(n\)-agonal musquash is a planar drawing of the \(n\)-gon, with consecutive edges \(e_1,e_2,e_3,\dots, e_n\) such that each pair of edges meets precisely once, either at a vertex or at a transverse crossing, and if edge \(e_1\) intersects edges in the following order \(e_{k_1},\dots, e_{k_{n-1}}\) then, for all \(i= 2,3,\dots, n\), edge \(e_i\) intersects the edges in the following order \(e_{k_1+i-1},e_{k_2+ i-1},\dots, e_{k_n- 3+ i-1}\), where the edge subscripts are computed modulo \(n\). For \(n\) odd, the standard \(n\)-agonal musquash has the \(n\)th roots of unity as its vertices and, for each \(k\), edge \(e_k\) goes for \(n\), \(e^{(k-1)(k- n),\pi i/n}\) to \(e^{k(1- n),\pi i/n}\). This paper is a sequel to the authors' paper [The answer to Woodalls's musquash problem, Discrete Math. 207, No. 1-3, 25-32 (1999; Zbl 0934.05030)], in which they have showed that there is no \(n\)-agonal musquash with \(n\) even and \(n> 6\). Exploiting the same ideas, the authors completed the classification of musquashes. They have maintained the classification and the terminology as in the above-mentioned paper. By stereographic projection, the authors regarded musquashes as being drawn on the 2-sphere \(S^2\). They have also regarded musquashes as being equivalent if one can be obtained from the other by a homomorphism of \(S^2\). This equivalence is called geotopy. In brief, the authors proved that there are no \(n\)-agonal musquashes for \(n\) odd, apart from standard ones. This completes the classification of musquashes.
