A brief review of the theory of Lorentzian length spaces as a substantial part of Lorentzian geometry is presented. Some relationships between the length of causal curves and the one-dimensional Lorentzian measures of their images are considered. It is proved that images of null curves are of geometric dimension zero, while their Hausdorff dimension is one. The most important part of the paper is devoted to the application of the theory of Lorentzian length spaces in the theory of spacetimes with continuous metrics. In general, the authors present a fundamental work on intersection of differential geometry, topology and mathematical physics.
