The paper under review concerns the Riemannian geometry of homogeneous spaces. Particularly, the real Stiefel manifolds \(V_k\mathbb{R}^n = \operatorname{SO}(n)/\operatorname{SO}(n-k)\) are considered and invariant Einstein metrics on \(V_k\mathbb{R}^n \) are discussed. As the main result, it is shown that any Stiefel manifold \(V_{2p}\mathbb{R}^n\) with \(2\leq p\leq \frac{2}{5}n - 1\) admits at least four invariant Einstein metrics, which are determined by \(\operatorname{Ad}(\operatorname{U}(p)\times \operatorname{SO}(n-2p))\)-invariant scalar products. Two of these Einstein metrics are \textit{G. R. Jensen}'s metrics [J. Differ. Geom. 8, 599--614 (1973; Zbl 0284.53038)], whereas the other two are different from Jensen's metrics. The proved statement extends previous results by \textit{A. Arvanitoyeorgos} et al. [Differ. Geom. Appl. 35, 2--18 (2014; Zbl 1327.53055)].
