The authors prove weighted Remez-, Bernstein-Markoff-, Schur-, and Nikolskii-type inequalities for algebraic polynomials, where the weight function is \(u(x)=x^\gamma e^{-x^{-\alpha}-x^\beta}\), for \(\alpha>0\), \(\beta>1\) and \(\gamma \geq 0\), on the interval \((0, +\infty)\). The proof of the inequalities is new, and does not rely on established results for the Laguerre-type weight (\(x^\gamma e^{-x^\beta}\)) and Pollaczeck-type weight (\(e^{-x^{-\alpha}}\)). Rather, the authors are able to show that the exponential part of the weight function (\(u(x)=e^{-x^{-\alpha}-x^\beta}\)) belongs to the class of weight functions \(\mathcal{F}(C^2+)\), where estimates on the Mhaskar-Rakhmanoff-Saff numbers are established in the work of Levin and Lubinsky. They then show that restricted range inequalities for the weight \(u\) can be extended to the weight \(w\) using only the Mhaskar-Rakhmanoff-Saff numbers of \(u\). The core of the proof of the inequalities is a lemma establishing the existence of a polynomial that can be compared to the weight function \(w\) on the interval whose endpoints are the Mhaskar-Rakhmanoff-Saff numbers of the weight \(u\).
