When \(N\) is an ideal in nilpotent Lie algebra \(L\), bounds on \(\dim(H_2(L,N))\) are established. In particular, \(\dim(H_2(L,N))=1/2n(n+2m-1)-t\) where \(t\) is a positive integer. The authors classify the algebras for which \(t=0,1,2,3\), finding \(1,5,5,9\) classes respectively.
