Concisely, let us describe two significant results of the article. Apropos of the first one, the authors provide sufficient conditions (essentially, these conditions are based on the parity) for ``eta-functions (resp. eta-invariants) associated to allowable Dirac-type operators, to have a simple or second order pole at zero (resp. are well defined)'' (Theorem 1.2). Also, the authors furnish a version of the classical Atiyah-Patodi-Singer index formula on compact (or edge) manifolds with boundary (Theorem 1.3).
