This paper takes an action in the simplest sense to be an ordered pair of its pre-condition (e.g. ``You are in Canada'') and its post-condition (e.g. ``You are in Florida'') for the action of going from Canada to Florida. A deontic action / proposition logic is then constructed in these terms and shown not to include various paradoxes and implausibilities, particularly involving disjunctive permissions, which disfigured various earlier deontic logics.
