A characterization theorem of multivariate splines in blossoming form
From MaRDI portal
In the first part of this article the author offers us a proof of the elementary fact (called here blossoming principle) that any polynomial in \(m\) variables of total degree \(n\) can be obtained by the diagonalization of an \(n\)-linear form. Then he applies this property to the study of multivariate splines.
