A formal framework for modules with state
From MaRDI portal
We address the problem of formal foundations of module manipulation within an imperative context. The paper is organized as follows. In Section 2 we give some definitions and results about signatures with inclusions that will be needed in what follows. In Section 3 we introduce object signatures and structures. In Section 4 we give the syntax and semantics of our module language (each subsection is devoted to an operator). In the conclusion we discuss some aspects of further work.
