Let \(S\) be a rational surface. The author presents some generating functions for the number of algebraic equivalence classes of divisors on \(S\), with arithmetic genus \(0\) and fixed degree with respect to some very ample polarisation. In particular the cases of ruled and Del Pezzo surfaces are considered.
