A rigidity theorem for complex Kleinian groups
The paper proves a rigidity result for \((d-k)\)-hyperconvex subgroups \(\Gamma\) of \(\mathrm{PSL}(d,\mathbb{C})\). Such groups are Anosov with respect to the simple roots adjacent to \(\alpha_k\) and satisfy an additional transversality condition on triples of points in their limit set. The authors show that the \(\alpha_k\)-Patterson-Sullivan measure on the limit set \(\Lambda_k(\Gamma)\subset\mathrm{Gr}_k(\mathbb{C}^d)\) is \(\delta_{\alpha_k}(\Gamma)\)-Ahlfors regular with respect to any Riemannian metric. Consequently, \(\Lambda_k(\Gamma)\) has finite and non-zero \(\delta_{\alpha_k}(\Gamma)\)-dimensional Hausdorff measure.\N\NIt follows that the upper bound \(\delta_{\alpha_k}(\Gamma)\leq 2\) is attained if and only if \(\Gamma\) is virtually isomorphic to a uniform lattice in \(\mathrm{PSL}(2,\mathbb{C})\). A stronger conclusion is obtained under strong irreducibility: if \(\Gamma\) is strongly irreducible and \(\delta_{\alpha_k}(\Gamma)=2\), then there exist a uniform lattice \(\Gamma'\subset\mathrm{PSL}(2,\mathbb{C})\) and an irreducible representation \(\tau:\mathrm{PSL}(2,\mathbb{C})\to\mathrm{PSL}(d,\mathbb{C})\) such that \(\Gamma=\tau(\Gamma')\). The proof uses the complex-algebraic structure of the appropriate partial-flag limit set and Lie-theoretic properties of the real Zariski closure of \(\Gamma\).
