Let \(\Sigma_g\) be the closed orientable surface of genus \(g,\) \(\pi := \pi_1(\Sigma_g)\) its fundamental group and \(\Gamma\) the mapping class group of \(\Sigma_g.\) Denote by \(\mathcal{O}\) the coordinate ring of the \(\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb{C})\)-character variety \(\Hom(\pi_1(\Sigma_g), \mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb{C}))\!/\!\!/\mathrm{SL}(2,\mathbb{C}).\) There is a natural Poisson structure on \(\mathcal{O}\) [\textit{W. M. Goldman}, Invent. Math. 85, 263--302 (1986; Zbl 0619.58021)]. The Skein Algebra \(A_q := Sk_q(\Sigma_g)\) is the quantum deformation of \(\mathcal{O}\) by the Kauffman relations. \(A_q\) inherits a Poisson structure from the one on \(\mathcal{O}.\) There is a natural \(\Gamma\)-action on \(\pi,\) giving rise to \(\Gamma\)-actions on \(\mathcal{O}\) and on \(A_q.\)\N\NIn the case of \(g=1,\) \(A_q\) can be further deformed to the spherical Double Affine Hecke Algebra (DAHA) \(A_{q,t},\) so that \(A_{1,1} = \mathcal{O}.\) In the case of \(g=2\), the definition of DAHA is generalized and the \(\Gamma\)-action action is further extended to \(A_{q,t}\) [\textit{S. Arthamonov} and \textit{Sh. Shakirov}, Sel. Math., New Ser. 25, No. 2, Paper No. 17, 29 p. (2019; Zbl 1461.16035)].\N\NThe current paper continues the study of the case of \(g=2.\) The main result is that \(A_{q,t}\) is a flat deformation of \(\mathcal{O}\) and that \(A_{1,1} \cong \mathcal{O}.\) It also extends the Poisson structure of \(\mathcal{O}\) to \(A_{1,t}.\)\N\NThese results are interesting and important and are the end results of computer experimentation. Hence some of the underlying topology and geometry remain somewhat opaque.
