The purpose of this article is to study the moments of orthogonal polynomials on the unit circle (OPUC) from a combinatorial perspective. The generalized moment of OPUC can be expressed by the set of Lukasiewicz paths, the set of gentle Motzkin paths for certain weight functions. The linear functional version of Verblunsky's theorem is easily proved. The determinant of a shifted version of the Toeplitz matrix is equal to the determinant of the matrix related to the generalized moments with a certain factor. Diagrams of Lukasiewicz paths are shown.
