Distributed impulsive coordination of multi-agent systems
Fractional ordinary differential equations (34A08) Ordinary differential equations with impulses (34A37) Research exposition (monographs, survey articles) pertaining to systems and control theory (93-02) Multi-agent systems (93A16) Control/observation systems governed by ordinary differential equations (93C15) Impulsive control/observation systems (93C27) Consensus (93D50)
This book considers the dynamics and control of the structures defined as differential equations on graphs. Being rather technical, it is not easy to present it in brief. However, the basic idea in coordination of the multi-agent systems is to achieve and stabilize by control (i.e. coordination signals) a consensus equilibrium. Here, additionally, the impulsive control applying signals at discrete time moments on small time intervals is considered. This option is explained by communication reasons connected with control signal transmission.\N\NThe book is structured on 9 chapters, the first being an Introduction and the 9th Conclusions and Prospects. It is the 1st Chapter which gives the necessary tools for understanding the book -- background, overview of multi-agent systems and impulsive control, preliminaries in the field (graph theory, stability, impulsive control). The following 7 chapters are the main part of the book and they deal with specific applications as follows: 2. Distributed Variable Impulsive Consensus of Multi-agent Systems; 3. Distributed Asynchronous Impulsive Consensus of Multi-agent Systems; 4. Distributed Impulsive Consensus of Delayed Multi-agent Systems; 5. Distributed Discontinuous Adaptive Impulsive Consensus of Uncertain Multi-agent Systems; 6. Distributed Impulsive Consensus of Fractional Order Multi-agent Systems with Control Gain Error; 7. Distributed Impulsive Consensus of Multi-agent Systems under Cyber Attacks; 8. Distributed delayed Impulsive Formations of Second-Order Multi-agent Systems with Switching Topologies.\N\NA common feature of these chapters is their mixture of engineering approach to control synthesis (e.g. the control protocol description relies on signal time diagrams but the convergence results are mathematical). Simulation results as illustrations are also given in all chapters.\N\NTo summarize, a book which can be useful to all those working in the field of multi-agent systems -- a quite important area of research and development.
