Dynamical systems of continuous spectra
Das Spektrum eines dynamischen Systems nach \textit{B. O. Koopman} [Proceedings USA Academy 17, 315--318 (1931; JFM 57.1010.02)] sei \(E(\lambda )\). Das Maß\ einer Menge \(J\) auf der Zeitachse werde durch \[ \tau J = \lim _{T\rightarrow +\infty } \frac {m(J\cdot [|t|\leq T])}{2T} \] definiert, wo \(m\) das \textit{Lebesgue}sche Maß\ bedeutet. Die Verf. beweisen folgenden Satz: Notwendige und hinreichende Bedingungen dafür, daß\ es eine Zeitmenge \(J\) vom Maße Null derart gibt, daß\ für je zwei Funktionen \(f\) und \(g\) aus \(\mathfrak P\) (für diese und einige weitere Bezeichnungen vgl. das vorletzte Referat) \[ \lim _{t\rightarrow \pm \infty } (U_t f, g) = (E_0f,g) \quad (t\notin J) \] gilt, sind die folgenden: \[ E(\lambda +0)-E(\lambda -0)=0 \;\text{für} \;\lambda \not = 0 \^^M\text{und} \;E_0 f \;\text{fast überall konstant}, \] wo \(E_0=E(+0)-E(-0)\) gesetzt ist, oder auch: Das System besitzt keine invariante Untermenge von \(\Omega \) von positivem endlichen Maß\ und, im Falle eines endlichen \(\mu \Omega \), kein Winkelvariabeln. Eine andere Fassung dieses Satzes wurde unabhängig davon von \textit{E. Hopf} bewiesen [ibid. 18, 204--209 (1932; JFM 58.1272.03)].
